# Questions and answers

The questions Brampton families ask us most. If yours isn’t here, call [(905) 451-3556](tel:+19054513556) or [send us a message](https://serviceswithoakridge.com/contact/).

## About ABA therapy

### What is ABA therapy?

ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) therapy teaches children practical skills, like communicating, playing with others, using the toilet and coping with change, by breaking each skill into small steps, practising it in ways the child enjoys and rewarding success. Progress is measured every session and the plan is adjusted as the child learns. [Read the full guide to ABA therapy](https://serviceswithoakridge.com/resources/what-is-aba-therapy/).

### What ages do you work with?

We work with children and teens. Starting early often helps most, but children of every age can learn new skills, so we plan around your child’s age and goals. Get in touch to talk about your child.

### How often will my child need therapy?

It depends on your child’s needs and goals. After the assessment, your RBA will recommend a schedule that balances progress with your family’s week. Sessions are available Monday to Saturday.

## Visiting the centre

### Is therapy at your centre or at home?

Our ABA programs run at our centre at 101 West Drive in Brampton. Parent training helps you use the same strategies at home, so progress carries over into everyday life.

### What are your hours?

Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 3 PM. We’re closed on Sundays.

### Is there a waitlist for ABA therapy at Oakridge?

Availability changes through the year, so contact us for current openings. We reply to every request within 24 hours and will tell you honestly how soon your child could start.
